Ankur Jain is advisor and investor of seed and early stage startups and high growth companies in diverse sectors both in India and the United States. He has more than 12 years of experience as an investor, strategy consultant and operational executive.
Ankur is currently an investor and Vice President at Nexus Capital Partners, India’s leading VC fund. Nexus Capital invests in early and early growth stage companies across sectors in India and US.
He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Yetizen, the gaming industry accelerator in San Francisco, California.
Prior to joining Nexus Capital Partners, he was Vice President at Blumberg Capital in Silicon Valley, California. At Blumberg Capital he invested and advised startups and high growth companies in software enterprise, digital and social media, mobile and Internet, including: Appboy, Chirpme, Mertado, Mobsmith, Yap.tv, Parse.ly, Legolas Media, MomTrusted, DealSquare, Sonar, Brainrush and MyGola.
Ankur did strategy consulting for Accenture specializing in IT strategy. Ankur has also worked at many small and large technology companies. Ankur worked at Softaware Networks when it was acquired by Digital Island in 2000 and at Andiamo Systems when it was acquired by Cisco in 2004.
Ankur earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Delhi, an M.S. in Computer Science from UCLA, and an MBA in Management from the Wharton School, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar. Ankur is also a co-inventor for five technology patents.
